Meet Jerry Autry
“Living in Houston is like living an adventure.”
Like many Houstonians, Jerry Autry thrives living in the beautifully diverse city that he describes as an ever-evolving ecosystem that is constantly changing and responding to what makes our city truly unique. Jerry sees Houston as an evolution tied to the people, one organism, responding to what’s happening around us in a conscious and woke, but responsible way. To him, there is no other place in the nation like Houston and that’s what makes it so special.
When asked what makes Houston home, Jerry says it’s like this mixture of diversity, food, entertainment, and people that summed up in one word is culture. Living in Houston is like living an adventure. For Jerry, that adventure began 15 years ago when he moved here from Detroit after growing up in small town Saginaw, Michigan where he joined family members living in the area and he’s decided to make Houston his forever home.
Through opportunities like Leadership Houston (Class of XXXVIII) and helping people find success as a catalyst coach, Houston has helped Jerry find his own sense of self.
